- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 carrots, diced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 bay leaf

- 1 1/2 tablespoons tomato paste 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 cups red wine
- 16 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
