Mardi Gras Beef
Festive and flavorful beef dish with Creole seasonings, great for celebrating with a Cajun flair.
Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 small green bell pepper, cut into strips
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder, divided
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1 pound (1 inch thick) sirloin steak 1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, juice drained and reserved
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch salt and pepper to taste
